On June 19th, the Shenzhen High level Talent Development Promotion Association's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Service Team organized a delegation led by Academician Zhang Yongmin, a member of the French

National Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences, a first level chief researcher of the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), and a professor at the University of Sorbonne in France, to visit Shenzhen Haplus Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and the Shenzhen Bay Laboratory. This visit focuses on the exchange and cooperation of cutting-edge biotechnology, aiming to promote breakthrough progress in multiple fields such as sugar biomarker tumor detection, research and development of anti-tumor sugar drugs, innovation in specialty food, and detection of pathogenic fungi.

The symposium was held at the headquarters of Haplus Biotechnology Co., Ltd. During the meeting, Academician Zhang Yongmin first shared his latest research achievements in the fields of glycochemistry and anti-tumor drug development, emphasizing the unique value of carbohydrate biomarkers in early tumor diagnosis.

Subsequently, communication shifted towards the innovative development of special medical foods. Academician Zhang Yongmin and the research team of Haplus conducted in-depth discussions on how to combine the latest nutritional and pharmacological research results to provide customized and scientifically formulated special medical foods for patients under specific medical conditions. Both sides believe that through technological empowerment, specialty foods can not only improve the nutritional status of patients, but also assist in the treatment and management of diseases to a certain extent.

In addition, the symposium also involved rapid detection techniques for pathogenic fungi, which is of great significance for public health safety. Academician Zhang pointed out that with the increasingly severe problem of microbial resistance, developing fast and accurate detection methods is crucial for timely diagnosis and control of the spread of pathogenic fungi. As a leading enterprise in the field of gene sequencing and molecular diagnosis, Haplus has expressed a strong willingness to cooperate with the team of Academician Zhang in this field.
